The Tea Research Institute Training centre is located at the headquarters in Kericho. It is only 10 kms to the East of Kericho town and is easily accessible through the Nakuru-Kericho road.
The Training Centre has a conducive country side environment suitable for learning not to mention the expansive and beautiful tea landscape.Objectives
√ To develop and organize an efficient information management system for tea industry through training and production of teaching materials.
The Tea Research Institute Training facility is committed to providing quality services to both the tea industry and other visitors.Facilities Available:
√ Six fully furnished rooms for trainees/visitors each accommodating three persons.
The teaching aids and equipment available are multimedia LCD projector, laptops, overhead, video and slide projectors as well as a public address system which is for hire.
At its Kangaita sub station has an equally well furnished training facility/guest house. The station, located next to KTDA Kangaita Tea Factory in the Tea Research Institute district is next to Mt Kenya forest and has the serene cool environment associated with the snow capped mountain, which can be viewed in the early morning hours. Charges are as for the Tea Research Institute Training Centre at the headquarters.Facilities available at Kangaita:

Tea Research Institute recently restructured its operations to move away from Departments, which are administratively oriented to programmes approach which is demand driven. Research at Tea Research Institute is currently is being conducted in four thematic areas namely:Crop improvement and management.
